With pleasant climate and beautiful environment, Xiamen is a great place to enjoy your golf. The main golf clubs in Xiamen include the Orient (Xiamen) Golf & Country Club and Kaikou (Xiamen) Golf Club, which will provide you wonderful golfing experiences.

The Orient (Xiamen) Golf & Country Club

Elaborately designed by Ronald Fream and operated by Orient Golf, the Xiamen Orient Golf Course is the one you should include on your play list if you are in Xiamen. It is the first golf course in China that holds the Asian PGA Tour, and the course is internationally known across the world through the tournament broadcasts over ESPN, Star TV and CCTV. The club was selected as one of the “Finest Golf Clubs of the World” in 1999. The China Ladies Open has been held here since 2006.

The Orient (Xiamen) Golf & Country Club

With a total development area of 246 hectares, the 27-hole internationally standardized golf course features a Pebble Beach style. Surrounded by mountains and with a splendid view of the sea, it embodies the perfect combination of the beautiful view of nature and the design concept. Various types of fairways designed according to the natural landforms and the unique seaside folk customs and lifestyle are very attractive. The 9-hole floodlit course was open in 2000.

The club also features nice facilities, including the clubhouse with luxury suites and standard rooms, American style villas, restaurants that offer delicious Chinese and Western food and various kinds of sea-food, pros-shop, driving range, caddies, and gym, etc.

Travel Tips: The Orient (Xiamen) Golf & Country Club is very conveniently located, only 10 minutes from the heart of the city via Haicang Bridge and 20 minutes from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport.

Kaikou (Xiamen) Golf Club

With a total area of 233 hectares, Kaikou Golf Club is surrounded by a 10–kilometer-long granite fence, which is reputed as the “Great Wall of Golf Course”.

Kaikou (Xiamen) Golf Club

Designed by distinguished Australian golf champion Greg Norman who is nicknamed “The Great White Shark”, it is a 36-hole course with international tournament standard and consists of two 18-hole, 72-par golf courses with different style. The 18-hole course on the east side, with 9 floodlit holes, has a total fairway length of 7,073 yards; and on the west side, the 18-hole with the championship standard has a total fairway length of 7,119 yards.

The club also boasts about its facilities, such as the Chinese and Western restaurants, driving range, caddies, tennis club, swimming pool, gym, sauna, and night club, and so on.

Travel Tips: It takes only 10 minutes’ drive from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport to the club, and 15 minutes’ drive to the downtown.
