There are two types of budget guesthouses: One is the twin room with/without the bathroom; the other is triple, four-bed rooms, or more beds like a dormitory, which all have no bathroom in them. The former one can be easily found in Lhasa and Shigatse (the second largest city in Tibet) while the later one is often the choice in remote areas in Tibet.

Some hotels have rooms with queen-size bed and some even have triple rooms, but the numbers of which are very limited.

Some hotels, not all, in Lhasa have internet access. You can inquire your travel advisor or guide for accurate information before booking a hotel. But some hotels have business center where you can use internet service.

The best available hotels in Lhasa are 5-star hotels, and the best hotels available in the region out of Lhasa are generally 3-star. In some places hotels with no star, but comparatively in good condition.
