Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, is located on the southeast side of China, on the lower reaches of Min River. It is a city that enjoys a sub-tropical monsoon climate, with an annual temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius. Fuzhou is a good destination to enjoy your golf, since you can play golf here all year round. More and more professional golf tournaments are held in Fuzhou, which bring a good reputation to the clubs.
The three major golf clubs in Fuzhou include Fuzhou Hot Spring Golf Club, the Trans Strait Golf Club and the Amai Golf Club. The Fuzhou Summit Golf & Country Club (originally called Fuzhou Dengyun Golf Club) is under renovation at the moment.
Fuzhou Hot Spring Golf Club
Beside the beautiful Pandu Stream in Lianjiang County of Fuzhou City, there is a good place for sports and leisure—that is Fuzhou Hot Spring Golf Club. Located in the outskirts of Fuzhou City, only 25 km away from downtown, the club enjoys a convenient transportation. The Hot Spring Golf Course covers an area of 120 hectares, with 18-hole, 72-par and a total length of 7,103 yards of fairway. Carefully planned and designed by Japanese designer Kaichi Kato according to the international standard, the course was built in the mountains with the lakes and rivers running through it. All the designs work in perfect harmony with the environment.
The Fuzhou Hot Spring Golf Club is close to the Fuzhou National Park and rich in geothermal resource. It can provide you with a variety of facilities, such as driving ranges, pro-shops, club houses, a golf academy, indoor hot springs, a gym, and so on.

Fuzhou Trans Strait Golf Club
Designed by the famous golf course designer Pobert Grent Jones, Jr., the Trans Strait Golf Course is of the same kind as the Coastal Sand Dune Golf Course in South Carolina of the U.S.A and quite in the style of British royal golf course. The designer created a masterpiece by making great use of the existing mountain, water, and thick forest. With a lot of trees, the environment is natural without any man-made structures, which is quite pleasant.
The Trans Strait Golf Course covers an area of 226 hectares, with 18-hole, 72-par and a total length of 7,333 yards of fairway. Some fairways are built on the sand beaches, which can be called “superb”. The course is so difficult and challenging that even masters must stand in combat readiness.
It takes 50 minutes to drive from the downtown to the golf club, and 15 minutes’ drive from Fuzhou Changle International Airport.
Address: Changle City, Fujian Province.
Fuzhou Amai Golf Club
Located at the western outskirts of the city, at the foot of Qi Mountain, the Fujian Amai Golf Course was designed by Mr. Ted Parslow, an international master from the US Hyde Park Company, who has designed more than 12 golf courses all over the world. Divided into three areas with 9-hole and 36-par in each area respectively, it is the only 27-hole golf course in Fuzhou, covering an area of around 100 hectares. In general, fairways are tight. Teeshots require some distance to carry over water.
It takes only 20 minutes to drive from the downtown of Fuzhou to the club.
